Privacy Policy

CognixCore (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by NorwegianSpark SA (org. no. 834 984 172), registered in Norway. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian personopplysningsloven.

What Data We Collect

Contact form submissions: Name, email address, and message content. Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

Newsletter subscriptions: Email address and optional first name. Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google, to measure page views, traffic sources and on-site interactions, including clicks on our partner links. It runs in Google Consent Mode for every visitor: until you choose Accept it is cookieless and sends measurement pings without writing cookies or storing identifiers on your device. Only after you choose Accept does it set its own cookies (such as _ga) to recognise returning visits. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views; Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies.

Cookies

When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject. Your choice is stored in your browser:

  • ns-consent-v2 — Stores your cookie consent preference. Duration: persistent. Type: essential (localStorage).

Until you choose Accept, and if you choose Reject, our analytics, affiliate and advertising tags set no cookies on your device. After you choose Accept, Google Analytics may set its cookies (such as _ga), the Impact affiliate tag may set attribution cookies, and the Google AdSense script is loaded, which may set advertising cookies as described below.

Affiliate Links

When you click an affiliate link on our site, you are redirected to a third-party website. That website may set its own cookies and collect data according to its own privacy policy. We do not control or have access to data collected by affiliate partners.

Affiliate links pass through our /go/ redirect to partners reached via the affiliate networks Impact, CJ (Commission Junction), Digistore24, Awin and Tradedoubler, or via a brand's own affiliate programme. The network and the brand may set cookies on their own websites to credit the referral to us; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site may show advertising served by Google AdSense; the AdSense script loads only after you choose Accept. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Data Retention

Contact form data: Retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
Newsletter data: Retained until you unsubscribe.
Analytics data: Aggregated, anonymous, retained indefinitely.

Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17)
  • Restrict processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21)
  • Withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3))
